About this position

Rock Bridge Community Church is one church with six campuses serving communities across Northwest Georgia and the Tennessee Valley with the mission to glorify God by connecting people from all walks of life to Christ. All six campuses share the same teaching and core ministry experience, with a combined average weekly attendance of more than 4,000. Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Dalton, GA, affectionately known as the “Carpet Capital of the World”, is a global hub for the carpet industry and a great place to live and raise a family. Rock Bridge campuses are located in a mix of small-town, city, and rural settings, with the central offices situated approximately 27 miles from Chattanooga, Tennessee, and 85 miles from downtown Atlanta. The worship and preaching at Rock Bridge are engaging, strongly biblical, and complemented by modern worship. The church operates with a staff-led leadership model, guided by directional Elders. Founded in 2003 by Pastor Matt Evans, Rock Bridge continues to be led with energy, clarity, and vision. Each campus is shepherded by a Campus Pastor who leads the local staff and provides care for the congregation, while a central team of Multi-Campus Directors offers leadership, vision, and alignment across core ministry areas.

Each Sunday, across eleven services at six campuses, Rock Bridge Kids Ministry welcomes more than 800 children. Beyond weekend services, the church hosts an engaging four-day Vacation Bible School each June, serving over 1,200 children, and fosters deeper discipleship and community engagement through its monthly First Wednesday ministry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Embody Rock Bridge Staff Commitments in your leadership, relationships, and ministry.
  • Provide centralized, multi‑campus leadership by partnering with Campus Pastors and Children’s Directors through consistent communication, coaching, and regular campus engagement.
  • Set and uphold ministry vision and standards through the development and oversight of the Children’s Ministry Playbook, ensuring excellence, alignment, and consistency across campuses.
  • Lead strategic initiatives and experiences by planning and executing large‑scale, multi‑campus children’s ministry events and maintaining a forward‑looking annual ministry calendar.
  • Oversee curriculum strategy and discipleship alignment by establishing the annual scope and sequence and approving all curriculum to ensure theological integrity and ministry effectiveness.
  • Drive operational effectiveness and systems health by overseeing logistics, refining ministry workflows, monitoring key data and trends, and ensuring safe, secure environments at every campus.
  • Ensure financial stewardship and accountability by managing the central Children’s Ministry budget and approving multi‑campus expenditures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High-Level Influence: You can lead and align campus ministry teams even without direct authority. You are comfortable participating in staff meetings and leadership gatherings at the highest level.
  • Professional & Emotional Maturity: You are a "thick-skinned," non-anxious presence. You can navigate complex ministry seasons, make hard decisions, and handle feedback with grace.
  • Strategic Rhythm & Foresight: You possess the high-level discipline to manage the annual calendar, identifying "seasons of intensity" before they arrive and preparing the team for them. You can do long-term planning and provide immediate, coaching-level support for what’s presently before the team.
  • Systems & Scalability: You build reproducible systems. You look at ministry through the lens of organizational design, ensuring that a win at one campus can be scaled and modeled at all campuses. You use information to diagnose systemic issues and refine the playbook for better efficiency and discipleship outcomes.
  • Ministry Integration: You are comfortable serving as a liaison between the Children's Ministry and other departments. You’re able to integrate Children’s Ministry into high-level church initiatives with age-appropriate, executable strategies that campus ministers can implement.
  • Experience: 4-5 years experience from a large ministry preferred.
