About this position

CedarCreek Church is a multi-site, non-denominational church located throughout Northwest Ohio, with campuses in and around the Greater Toledo area. The church currently reaches around 7,000 people each weekend across its six campuses. Known for its engaging weekend services and commitment to helping people take their next step on their spiritual journey, CedarCreek combines high-quality worship, biblical teaching, and excellent production to create a compelling experience each week.

CedarCreek is currently seeking a high-capacity Campus Director of Arts to join their team. While the exact campus placement will be determined later in the process, this leader will be responsible for overseeing worship and production at one of CedarCreek’s campuses in the Greater Toledo area. The Director of Arts will lead the creative and spiritual direction of the campus experience, develop and empower volunteer teams, and collaborate closely with the Central Arts Team to carry out CedarCreek’s vision with excellence and consistency. The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity that align with the church’s overall mission and vision. Below are the qualifications and responsibilities Froot Group and the church have identified for this role:

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Worship Leadership:

  • Regularly lead worship services, rehearsals, and run-throughs on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure all necessary technical and creative elements are prepared for weekend services.
  • Occasionally lead at other campuses as needed.

Supporting Volunteer Development:

  • Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers for both production and music DreamTeams.
  • Create a healthy team culture by encouraging community, spiritual growth, and development.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and leadership to help volunteers thrive in their roles.

Collaborative Programming:

  • Participate in weekly staff and creative meetings with the Central Arts Team.
  • Help shape and carry out the creative vision for weekend services at the campus level.
  • Provide feedback and ideas to enhance programming and service flow.

Stage Design & Communication:

  • Partner with Central Support to implement stage design and service elements.
  • Ensure the campus is equipped and prepared for all technical needs related to the weekend experience.
  • Communicate campus-specific wins, needs, and challenges to Central Arts leadership effectively.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Lifestyle aligned with biblical leadership standards (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9).
  • Proficient in ProPresenter, Planning Center, and Ableton, or willing to learn.
  • Working knowledge of audio, visual, and lighting systems in a live worship context.
  • Strong vocal ability and ability to lead confidently from guitar or keys.
  • Passion for leading worship and reaching those far from God.
  • Spiritually mature, emotionally intelligent, and team-minded.
  • Energetic and comfortable engaging people through music, scripture, and prayer.
  • Fully aligned with CedarCreek’s mission, values, and culture.
  • Education
    • Some college coursework in a relevant field is preferred, not required.
  • Experience
    • 2–5 years of worship leadership and volunteer development experience preferred.
