The Crossing is a non-denominational Christian church located in Milton, Delaware. Milton is a growing and revitalizing town close to the Delaware shoreline known historically for ship building. It is uniquely situated 2 hours from the cities of Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., and it is just a 3 hour car drive to New York City. The church is led by Senior Minister Mark Magee, who has served the community there for 30 years. The Crossing offers two identical contemporary worship styled services at 9:00 and 10:30 on Sunday mornings. The church continues to grow and is currently experiencing around 600 in attendance on Sunday mornings.

The Crossing has been one of the larger evangelical churches in the southern part of Delaware, and it has had a great history of consistent staff and leadership. Recently, there has been an increase in attendance of the 20’s and 30’s demographics, and an increased priority in encouraging discipleship groups hosted in members’ homes. The church has a strong desire to be relevant in everything they do and to be debt free. Strong leadership and strategic planning have enabled them to achieve these goals.

The church is seeking the right candidate to take over as the new Worship Minister to oversee their worship ministry. The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity that align with the church’s overall mission and vision. Below are the qualifications and responsibilities Froot Group and the church have identified for this role:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To provide leadership, vision and passion for leading our church in a culture of humble worship and praise as this is our Core Value #1 at The Crossing.
• To execute Sunday morning services at The Crossing by creating and leading well-planned and engaging Sunday morning worship services that keep pointing people to honoring and worshiping Jesus.
• To recruit, equip, and shepherd a worship team that include Vocalists, Musicians, and Production which includes weekly communication, scheduling, rehearsal, song selection, chord charts, etc via Planning Center Online.
• To continue to look for ways for improving technology and staying up to date and relevant with our worship ministry.
• To assist the Digital Discipleship Team each week for cohesive communication and ministry effectiveness.
• To be available for special worship gathering events.
• Be a visionary by developing a plan on the page that will describe what success looks like within the ministry alongside our present three year strategy.
• Faithfully manage the worship ministry budget within the boundaries set by the finance team.
• Be available to assist our Elder Team and Staff when called upon for miscellaneous ministry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Devoted to our church family at The Crossing: Giving the highest honor to every member of our family, our staff and our Leadership Team.
• Relationally engaging and has a strong desire to see others developed and discipled.
• Has solid communication abilities, is a team player, coachable, and has a great sense of humor!
• A creative-minded person that has a desire to think outside of the box. 
• Excellent in leading vocally and with either guitar or piano.
• Able to create, build, and sustain a strong volunteer culture.
• Experience using Planning Center Online, ProPresenter, and other related softwares.
• Has a working knowledge of running tracks through either Ableton, Prime, Playback, etc.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.
• Experience
  • Preferred candidates will have 1 - 3 years of relative experience leading worship.
