New Palestine Bible Church is a non-denominational church affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention in New Palestine, IN. They are led by Pastor Brett Crump. Pastor Brett has been with NPBC since 2002. NPBC started out as a campus of College Park in Indianapolis in 2001 and later released as a church plant in 2007. Since then, NPBC has been blessed by multiple church mergers from the local area. Their mission is: to share the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ that by His grace people from every culture may Know God intimately, Grow in relationship with Him and others, and Go serve Him in the Church and the world. They are well-known in the community for their devotion to biblical teaching and their commitment to kid’s ministry such as American Heritage Girls and Trail Life. They have about 250 people worshipping during their 10:00 am service each weekend.

 

New Palestine Bible Church in New Palestine, Indiana is looking for candidates for their next Worship Director. NPBC is a relatively young and growing church who is excited about the future. They are located in one of the fastest growing counties in the state of Indiana and just moved into our new building. They are looking for candidates who are maturing in Christ, are musically gifted in vocals and ideally at least one instrument and have had some experience leading others in worship. 

 

Below are the responsibilities and qualifications Froot Group and the church have identified for this role.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Be a person of prayer. (Philippians 4:6; 1 Thessalonians 5:17).
  • Serve as primary Sunday worship leader.
  • Coordinate with the pastor (or other elder overseeing the service) regarding Scripture to be preached, possible theme, songs and order of worship in a timely manner.
  • Distribute order of worship including all helpful information (target arrangement, desired song sequence, chord/vocal sheets) to the worship team in a timely manner to allow team members time to practice and learn new music ahead of group practices. Utilize Planning Center.
  • Coordinate and equip others in: Music, Sound, Video, Production.
  • Approach all relationships with an element of pastoral care.
  • Identify, equip, empower, and encourage volunteers by building a team environment.
  • Be familiar with the operation of the sanctuary A/V equipment or have a general working knowledge and a desire to learn.
  • Recruit, evaluate and develop prospective worship team members in order to build up the body. (Ephesians 4:11-16).

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Formal education preferred, not required.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of weekly ministry experience in leading/developing congregational worship and teams in a multigenerational setting. Both paid and volunteer candidates with equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Strong testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.
  • Humble. One who is qualified, or has the potential, to be an elder in our church.
  • The ideal candidate will be theologically compatible, knowledgeable, and sound.
  • The ideal candidate will be skilled on multiple instruments.
  • The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable on technical elements of production and worship software (Planning Center, ProPresenter 7, lighting, sound, etc).
  • The ideal candidate will have a heart for discipleship and pastoral care.
  • Upholds the essentials of sound doctrine throughout the church and its related ministries; champions Biblical grace and truth.
  • Proven effectiveness at being a passionate worshiper who leads others to do the same
  • Shows the consistent ability to lead, take initiative, and make important ministry decisions.
  • Possess a level of organizational ability sufficient to lead worship ministry.
