About this position

New England Chapel (NEC), located in Franklin, MA, is on mission to reach people who have given up on the church, but not on God. NEC was established in 1997 by three couples with a heart for the Boston community and is led by Pastor Mike Laird. NEC is looking for a creative disciple maker who excels as a visionary leader for the next generation.

In 2019, NEC stepped into a $2 million dollar renovation of a retired candlepin bowling alley. They repurposed the building to accommodate their growth and to support the ministries of the church. NEC averages 400 people in attendance over two identical services at 9:00 and 10:30 AM.

Over the past two decades, God has used New England Chapel to help many New Englanders, young and old from all kinds of backgrounds, find faith. Sixty percent (60%) of the active church body gave their life to Christ as a result of the ministries of NEC. There are no hard and fast rules, instead they lead with openness, love, and they keep it real: Love God. Love others.

NEC desires a youth pastor who can adapt to their unique style and vision. They are praying for someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously, yet seriously loves the Lord and serves God’s people. They are seeking a Youth Pastor who can develop and lead middle and high school students and families. A person who can integrate students into the life and community of the church while encouraging them to use their gifts for service.
