Philosophy of Worship
What is your philosophy of worship?

First and foremost, worship is not about us or what we need when we come into the presence of God. Worship is about glorifying the name of God and giving Him thanks for what He has done, what He will do, and for what He will continue to do forevermore. Worship is not only a Sunday morning song. It is more than that, it is also a way of life. While it is important to exalt his name through song as a congregation and it is important to not abandon our church family, we should also remember to worship Him through living a holy and good life throughout the week; by being his hands and feet and speaking life to those around us, showing his love and Grace to those in need and worshipping through our actions, glorifying by doing our best at everything we do and not being half-hearted in anything, remembering to give thanks in every circumstance. Worship is a daily decision and an act of surrender. We worship in the waiting, in times of difficulty and in times of joy and we consciously make this choice out of love, not obligation. Worship is more than a Sunday morning thing, it is a daily decision and one that is taken seriously and with commitment.

Ideal Relationship with Lead Pastor
How would you describe the ideal relationship between senior/lead pastor and worship leader?

The pastor and worship leader should be a team, with the worship leader working in submission under the pastor. The worship leader should work side by side with the pastor to plan effectively services, events, and ministry outreach in addition to communication regarding song selection in alignment with Scripture and sermon series so that everything about the Sunday service fits nicely and Is cohesive and as meaningful for for the congregation as possible.
