Central Christian Church is a non-denominational Christian Church located in Beloit, WI, just north of Rockford, IL and an hour and a half from Chicago and Milwaukee. The church is a multisite campus with Beloit being their original campus and their second campus being in Janesville, WI.  Central offers three identical modern worship styled services at 5:00p on Saturday evening, and 9:00a & 10:30a on Sunday mornings. The church has been experiencing steady growth over the past 20 years, though has recently been exploding in their next gen ministries, seeing birth - 12 grade representing more than a third of their overall attendance, which has been around 1,500 at the Beloit campus and nearly 400 at the Janesville campus.

The church is seeking the right candidate to take over as the new Worship Pastor to oversee their worship ministry. The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity that align with the church’s overall mission and vision. Below are the qualifications and responsibilities Froot Group and the church have identified for this role:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain communication with the leadership team.
• Creating, crafting, and choosing songs that will minister and equip our congregation to better know and live out God’s Word.
• Manage the volunteer schedule for all musicians and vocalists.
• Work alongside the Production Director to ensure that the stage set-ups, lighting, sound system, video systems, and worship presentation software are working properly and ready for the service.
• Leading worship for all weekend services (Saturday night and Sunday morning services).
• Recruit and/or develop new musicians, singers, and tech team members sufficient to carry out the weekly needs of the service and prepare for future needs.
• Meet with musicians and vocalists to mentor them spiritually.
• Set annual goals for the worship ministry at Central Christian Church.
• Oversee worship ministry budget.
• Attend regular staff meetings and department meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Clear testimony of a life that has trusted in and is walking with Jesus Christ.
• A heart to lead and draw people into worship, and not just lead the worship services.
• Highly proficient in guitar and/or piano, along with a highly proficient singing voice.
• Strong understanding of technology in worship, i.e. Lighting, Planning Center, Sound System (FOH), Video Production, Audio Production (i.e. Logic Pro, Ableton, and/or ProTools).
• A relational-focused person that can build a team, lead a team, and be a team player. 
• A creative-minded person that has a desire to think outside of the box. 
• Effective at multitasking, time management, and following up.
• Education
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.
• Experience
  • Preferred candidates will have 2 - 3 years of relative experience leading worship.
