About this position

CedarCreek Church is a multisite, non-denominational church located in and around the Toledo, OH area. The church has 6 different locations and currently sees around 6,500 in attendance between all campuses on a typical weekend. The West Toledo (WT) Campus is led by Campus Pastor Ed Belner, who has been the campus pastor at the WT Campus for 15 years. The campus currently has three services offered on Saturdays at 5:00p, and Sundays at 9:00a and 11:00a. All services are identical and offer a modern style of worship. Middle School students meet during the weekend service times and 9th - 12th grade students meet on Wednesday nights. Between 5th - 12th, the WT Campus is seeing over 75 students attend their student services. 

 

The church is seeking the right candidate to take over as the new Associate Director of Students to come alongside the Director of Students at the West Toledo Campus, with the hope this position would take over their own campus soon. The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity that align with the church’s overall mission and vision. Below are the qualifications and responsibilities Froot Group and the church have identified for this role:

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the Director of Students in leading and organizing Student Groups according to the ministry calendar.
  • Support recruitment efforts for DreamTeam volunteers and future interns.
  • Provide mentoring and development opportunities for student leaders in collaboration with the Director of Students.
  • Aid in training and DreamTeam members under the guidance of the Director of Students.
  • Collaborate with students in a student leadership track.
  • Teach on occasion during Wednesday and weekend services.
  • Support the planning and execution of Central Support Events, Camps, and Retreats.
  • Assist with promotion and marketing of Student Ministry events.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Lifestyle aligned with biblical leadership standards (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9).
  • A sense of calling to serve in student ministry.
  • Basic communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic attitude that engages students and families.
  • Basic organizational and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with using technology and social media for event promotion.
  • Must be a tithing, Missional Member in good standing at CedarCreek Church.
  • Engagement in weekend services and small group participation.
  • Willingness to attend weekly staff meetings and participate in team collaboration.
  • Education
    • Some college coursework in a relevant field is preferred, not required.
  • Experience 
    • Up to 2 years of experience in student ministry or related volunteer work.
