About this position

CedarCreek Church is a multisite, non-denominational church located in and around the Toledo, OH area. The church has 6 different locations and currently sees around 6,500 in attendance between all campuses on a typical weekend. The church is led by Lead Pastor Ben Snyder, who has been on staff for over 25 years and in the lead pastor role for the past 10 years. All services at all of the campuses offer a modern style of worship. 5th - 8th grade students meet during the weekend service times and 9th - 12th grade students meet on Wednesday nights. Between every campus, the student ministry sees over 475 students attend their student services. 

 

The church is seeking the right candidate to take over as the new Central Student Director to oversee the vision and direction for the student ministry at CedarCreek across all of their campuses. The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity that align with the church’s overall mission and vision. Below are the qualifications and responsibilities Froot Group and the church have identified for this role:

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage vision and strategy for student ministry across all campuses.
  • Equip Campus Student Directors to execute strategy at the campus level.
  • Collaborate with the Next Gen, Groups & Outreach Team, and Campus Pastors on enhancing strategies and events.
  • Lead and oversee the planning and organizing of large central events such as summer camp.
  • Develop and implement CedarCreek Students policies and procedures for safe and meaningful ministry.
  • Lead Student Team meetings and cultivate relationships with student ministry experts.
  • Assist in hiring and coaching staff and interns as needed.
  • Provide clarity around CedarCreek Students' strategies and systems.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Lifestyle aligned with biblical leadership standards (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9).
  • A sense of calling to serve in student ministry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic attitude that can galvanize and lead other student directors.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with using technology and social media for event promotion.
  • Must be a tithing, Missional Member in good standing at CedarCreek Church.
  • Engagement in weekend services and participation in small groups.
  • Willingness to attend weekly staff meetings and participate in collaborative efforts.
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Experience 
    • At least 3+ years of full time student ministry experience, ideally at a multisite church, is required.
